Shockwave
Shockwave – Radial Pressure Wave (RPW) Therapy
Shockwave - Radial Pressure Wave (RPW) therapy is an excellent noninvasive, regenerative treatment method with very few negative side effects for conditions that are normally very difficult to treat. For these conditions, we now know that RPWs are a treatment method that reduces pain as well as improves function and quality of life.
Some physical effects of radial pressure waves include:
Pain Reduction: Intensive pulses from the transmitter into the tissues create a strong nociceptor activation, which affect neurons that inhibit pain signals.
Increased metabolism: Shockwaves influence the tissues on cellular level. The chemical environment of the cells is affected by free radicals promoting the release of pain and inflammatory inhibiting substances.
Revascularization: Repeated shockwaves to the affected area create a revascularization effect, with the new blood flow in the area promoting tissue healing and regeneration.
Reduced muscle tone: The “vicious circle”, as well as the strong pathological association between pain and muscle tone, will be broken and lead to restoring a normalized muscular tone.

Low back/thoracic pain
Piriformis syndrome
Calcified shoulder tendonitis
Frozen shoulder
Epicondylitis
Finger tendonitis
Muscular cramps/spasm
Massage, vibration therapy
